Client Background
Elliott and Katie were a young couple from Guildford who were buying their first home. For peace of mind, they wanted to make sure that the drain was working, so they don’t buy a house with a problem that will drain their money. Realising they needed to investigate the property drain, they called us for a CCTV drain survey at their Surrey property.
What we did
At the start, we did a first assessment to come up with the plan for the survey, before carefully inserting the camera into the drain pipes. As our engineers watched the footage live on a monitor, the camera was inserted through the pipes to scan for problem areas, focusing on the joints and bends as these are common trouble spots. We kept inserting the CCTV system in the pipe until we reached the main municipal sewer.
Findings
After assessment of the pipes using CCTV, we found the grading system of the property to be in good condition. Everything looked fine; that is no blockages or structural damage or anything that can hamper in the future. The pipes were clean, in good shape, and not broken.
The outcome of the CCTV drain survey was positive enough for Elliott and Katie to feel assured about the purchase of their new home.
Client Feedback
